Poinsettia, the rose of winter is a symbol of good cheer.

It is said that the flower’s association with Christmas comes from a Mexican legend – the story of a child with no means for a grander gift who gathered humble weeds from the roadside on Christmas Eve. As if by a miracle, nature transformed, blooming into the brilliant red and green flowers we know to be poinsettia.
