The hand-forged creation process when making these tools involves heating the steel to over 800ºC (1472 ºF) where it is meticulously hammered and shaped into its desired size. All pieces are designed for superior balance and comfort, a tribute to this living art form. Each pair of bonsai shears is hand-engraved by the craftsman (in Japanese kanji) onto the loops.
