Cast-iron wind chime (Japanese Furin) Blue (cone-shaped)
The melodious sound of traditional Japanese wind chimes, known as “furin”, lifts spirits and soothes the soul. These handmade cast-iron wind chimes are something very special, hung indoors near a window or outside from the eaves, as it is often done in Japan.
There is a certain comfort in hearing furin – delicately swaying back and forth in the wind; traditionally they are hung out to anticipate the arrival of summer, but wind chimes can be seen throughout the year. Sometimes animals are used to inspire shapes of furin, helping to create a stronger connection with the natural world.
Each furin comes with a thick piece of paper that hangs elegantly downwards. This helps to catch the wind and give off its beautiful chime. Feel free to write a small message on this paper if the product is a gift for someone.
