This is a worthy restoration project for the adventurer.

This is sword that is more than 500 years-old that is housed in a gorgeous Japanese Naval Officer’s gunto leather scabbard from WWII.

Unfortunately, the blade is a little rusty. This is all too often the case with long lost swords. But the good news it can be rescued.

The black leather scabbard is in very good condition, and it is particularly rare amongst gunto scabbards. Generally speaking only respected, higher ranking officers had swords housed in leather mountings.

You have the option to take the sword as it is and leave her in less than perfect condition, or you can have us help you restore this blade, which we’d prefer you’d do.

The extra cost is just ¥60,000 to polish the blade by an expert polisher. And we can help arrange for you to meet the polisher and tour his workshop at no extra charge.
