All swords proudly listed on Unique Japan’s website and featured at our shows are GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC. Each sword is a razor sharp hand-forged object of art, created to the absolute highest standards of human (and spiritual) craftsmanship.
The vast majority of the swords we offer are certified Samurai antiques that are several hundreds of years old. Most date from the Edo Period (17-19th century) to as far back as the Kamakura period (12th century).
If you cannot view the sword in person prior to purchase, WE OFFER A THREE (3) DAY WORRY FREE INSPECTION PERIOD in which the sword may be returned if you (the buyer) are not 100% completely satisfied.
* For all items apart from Japanese swords, we cannot accept refunds, returns, and exchanges of items more than 60 days after delivery, regardless of reason, unless a product is shown to be defective. Please check the condition of the items you purchased soon after receiving them.
* In the event that the product(s) did suffer damage, defects or the order has been incorrectly fulfilled, quickly contact the shipping company and Unique Japan with your order number and details immediately after receiving the package. We will exchange (or correctly fulfill) your package as soon as we receive the returned item(s). All return shipping fees should be paid by the shipping company if the goods arrived damaged.
* We will begin the refund procedure immediately after receiving the returned items. As soon as the processing is completed, we’ll inform you by e-mail. Refunds may take up to 90 days to complete depending on the credit card company used. Contact your credit card company for further information.
* For orders that are cancelled before they are officially shipped, a 5% cancellation fee plus any local shipping or other minor business costs will apply.

Please send the item(s), preferably in the box they were shipped in back to Japan. Be sure to include the original printed copy of the order details included in the shipment. Make a copy of the order details prior to sending back the package.
